DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Code Enforcement Board liens were recorded against Tony and Britany Johnson on September 16, 2020, and August 14, 2024, for violations including operating a business in an improper zone, accumulation of junk, and accessory use without a principal structure, on Lot 20 Block 53 in Ocala Estates subdivision. On June 24, 2026, Jessica Castellon submitted the lien reduction request and paid the $500 fee seeking relief of the liens.
During staff review of the cases, it was discovered that the Johnsons were improperly cited for a repeat violation in case 912969 that resulted in an additional $500 fine being added to the $6,000 accrued daily fine.
On August 12, 2026, the Code Enforcement Board heard the requests and recommended that the Board deny the request to reduce the $9,000 lien and recommended the reduction of the second lien to $6,000.
Code Enforcement Board lien (808870) $ 9,000.00
Code Enforcement Board lien (912969) $ 6,500.00
