DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On August 4, 2026, the Board approved 33 appraisals under purchases over $50,000. The appraisals were for partial takings of parcels, including right-of-way, drainage easements, and/or temporary construction easements for the NW/NE 35th Street Phase 1B widening project (from 600 feet east of W Anthony Road to NE Jacksonville Road).
Change Order 1 was approved by the Board on October 6, 2026. It added 10 appraisals for use by Marion County in negotiation and possibly acquisitions from property owners.
Change Order 2 requests the addition of a Conservation Easement Appraisal Report in association with two (2) parcels.
Today’s Change Order, detailed proposal, and parcel sketches are attached for review. Following approval at today’s meeting, Change Order 2 will be presented to the Chairman for signature.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; additional expenditure of $13,500, bringing the total amount of the Purchase Order to $184,500. Funding comes from VJ738541-561301 (Transportation Improvements).
