DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The County has been approved for a Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) Hazard Mitigation Grant for the Marion County Watershed Master Plan. The Watershed Master Plan will cover the Florida Ridge, Lake Panasoffkee and Marshall Swamp watershed areas in unincorporated Marion County. To complete the application, execution of the grant agreement and attachments I, K, and L is required, which confirms that the Board will budget matching funds and follow all State and Federal requirements. Such funding is proposed in the Stormwater Implementation Program (SIP) Project W-8 and W-9 and FY 2026-27 Budget. This agenda item only serves to approve the grant agreement with FDEM and no work shall be performed until fully scoped tasks are approved by the Board at a future date.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Revenue; Reimbursement of up to $300,000 in grant revenue to the Stormwater Program Grant Revenue Account.
