DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Petitions were sent via certified return receipt mail within Belleview Heights Unit 9 - SE 131st Place at the request of the property owners. Those petitions were returned to the Clerk of the Court Internal Audit Department which has provided the following results of the petition count:
Total Property Owners Petitioned: 22
Total Owners Responding Timely: 11
Total Owners Responding in Favor: 5 (45.4%)
Total Owners Responding Not in Favor: 4 (36.4%)
Total Owners Responding Invalid: 2 (18.2%)
Percentage of Property Owners Responding in Favor: 45.4%
The property owners were sent a letter dated October 7, 2021 containing the petition tabulation results and informing them of the date and time the petition results will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for consideration.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
None; all costs associated with this proposed road assessment will be shared by the affected property owners within the property boundary.

Motion to accept the petitions and approve moving forward with the engineering design phase for the Belleview Heights Unit 9 - SE 131st Place Road Improvement project.
