DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

On behalf of the MSTU Department, Procurement advertised a bid for the installation of a concrete pad for the makings of a Tennis Court located at the Marion Oaks Community Center. Work shall include excavation, clearing, installation of welded wire mesh, expansion joints, control joints, and pouring of concrete.  Three (3) submittals were received, which are listed below:

MSTU Department Director, Chad Wicker, recommends that Construction Genes, LLC receive the award as the lowest, most responsive, and most responsible bidder.

 

Attached for review is a contract draft and pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to Construction Genes, LLC for signatures. Upon return, it will be forwarded to Legal, the Clerk, and Chair for signatures.

 

BUDGET/IMPACT:

Neutral; expenditure of $50,150. Up to a 10% contingency may be added to the purchase order in accordance with the Procurement Manual.  Funding is from HG510519-563101 (MARION OAKS MSTU FUND).

Motion to approve the recommendation and allow staff to issue a contract and authorize the Chair and Clerk to execute the contract under Q24-265.
