DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On March 17, 2026, the board approved a purchase agreement and amendment between Marion County and the Bruce Oehlerking Trust, Myra Gresko Trust, and Michael Oehlerking for the acquisition of 32.96 acres. The amendment updated a 2005 agreement concerning the construction of water and wastewater infrastructure for the Marion Center subdivision, which included the property being purchased. This amendment granted the entities listed above 50 ERCs from the surrounding service area. Marion County has been reimbursed by other parties for these connections since the closing of this amendment on March 17, 2026.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Increase Marion County Utility Fund appropriation by $275,000.
