DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Silver Springs Shores Community Center requests a transfer of $15,000 to Operating Supplies from Machinery and Equipment to cover the purchase of fitness room equipment. Since the individual equipment purchases do not meet the required threshold of $5,000 per unit to be expended from the capital account, Machinery and Equipment, the funds need to be moved to Operating Supplies to comply with accounting principles.
