DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The item below has been received by Procurement Services and is approved for conformance with the Procurement Code/Manual, pending approval at today’s meeting.
Pending Requisition/Environmental Equipment Services - Marion County Utilities Department has centrifuge equipment for the Silver Springs Shores Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) that is in need of major repairs and requests approval to have the work performed. This equipment is a major component of the waste water process for the plant. Total expenditure $63,750; funds are available in line ZF448536-563102. This service cannot be competitively bid as there is only one (1) manufacturer authorized service representative in the region.
Pending Requisition/FJNugent & Assoc., Inc. - Marion County Utilities requests approval to purchase (2) Grundfos Submersible Sewage Pumps, 20 HP, 3/450V with 49’ Power Cable ($10,478.50/ea), (1) Duplex Control Panel with Solid State Starter and Start-up ($21,012/ea), and (1) Data Flow System DFS 800 TAC Pack and Accessories ($10,777/ea) for the new Tradewinds Lift Station. The Tradewinds project is part of the Marion County Package Wastewater Plant Removal Program which is being funded through a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Grant. Total expenditure $52,746; funds are available in line ZF448536-563102. These items were standardized under 02ST-002.
