DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
In the Water Maintenance and Operations Department, repairs to gates and fences have exceeded anticipated needs, requiring additional funds in Buildings and Grounds Maintenance. Vehicle repairs have also been slightly higher than budgeted requiring additional funds in Repairs and Maintenance - Fleet Management.
In the Wastewater Maintenance and Operations Department, repairs and replacements of pumps have been much higher than budgeted, requiring additional funds for Equipment Maintenance and Repairs
The emergency budget amendment for the purchase of the replacement vehicles due to the vehicle fire moved the entire purchase price from reserves, however, a portion of each vehicle was covered by insurance, resulting in additional fund availability in the capital object in each department. This is a one-time request.
