DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Marion County Code, Chapter 16 Solid Waste, Article I, Solid Waste Management, Division 2, Franchises Section 16-47 requires any person wishing to obtain a Commercial or Residential Waste Collection Service franchise to submit an application to the Director of Solid Waste. The Director has received an application requesting a Commercial and Residential Waste Collections Service Franchise from Waste Connections of Florida, Inc. The Director has reviewed the application, determined it to be complete and is preparing a report to present to the Board. The report and the application shall be submitted to the Board at a public hearing, as provided in section 16-48. Waste Connections of Florida, Inc. intends to present the application to the board at the requested public hearing for the Board to determine the ability of the applicant to comply with the provisions of this article.
