DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Request approval for resolution supporting local funding assistance from the Withlacoochee Regional Water Supply Authority (WRWSA). As a member of the WRWSA, the Board is eligible to apply for WRWSA's Water Conservation Grant. The grant will reimburse up to 50% of the County's dollars spent on water use efficiency initiatives. The requested amount of cooperative funding for FY 2025-26 is $18,285. To complete the application, a Resolution is required, which confirms that the Board will budget matching funds. Upon approval of the grant application by WRWSA, an agreement will come back to the Board for execution.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; revenue up to $18,285 proposed in the FY 2025-26 budget. Total project cost is $36,570, with $18,285 in grant revenue, $10,000 from fund AA433537 (Water Resources), $4,850 from fund ZF440369 (Utilities- Water Operations), and $3,435 from fund EK430337 (Stormwater).
