DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Enforcement of the Florida Building Code requires the department to field all vehicles. However, increased vehicle maintenance costs have exceeded projected funding. To address this shortfall, we request a transfer of $45,000 to ensure continued operations.
A transfer of $45,000 is required for Repairs/Maint - Fleet Management to account for rising maintenance costs and ensure vehicles remain operational throughout FY 2025. Currently available funds are estimated to sustain operations through May 29, 2025.
The source account for funding will be Reserve for Contingencies, as funds are available in this account to address unexpected financial needs.
Providing these resources will allow the department to maintain operations and continue delivering service at the current level for the remainder of the fiscal year
