DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The main chiller at the Health Department has been undergoing repairs since earlier in the year, leaving the backup chiller as the functional unit supporting air quality within the Health Department. The backup unit is now over 30 years old and has exceeded its expected operational life span. Facilities worked with Procurement to bid out the project, but with the bid coming in over $100,000, a Capital Improvement Project was needed. Staff is requesting that the cost of the project, $121,928 be transferred from Small Projects (AA180519-546140) to project FMC000040, Health Department Chiller Replacement (AA700519-563102).
