DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
This request is to add additional disbursement of $700,000.00 from the US Department of Treasury Emergency Rental Assistance Project (ERA2 Project) to be used for the relief of the rental housing and housing stability of eligible applicants. Per the ERA2 Grant Subrecipient Agreement approved on April 15, 2025, between Marion County, Florida, and the five designated subrecipients, funds will be distributed among the following three organizations: Brother's Keeper, Interfaith Emergency Services, and Neighborhood Housing and Development Corporation (NHDC). These organizations will administer the funds in accordance with ERA2 program requirements to assist the eligible "homeless" and "at risk homelessness" individuals and families within Marion County
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Increase Public Assistance ERA2 Fund appropriation by $700,000.
