DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On June 6, 2023, the Board approved contracts with multiple firms to provide various civil site-related engineering services for the County. Firms were selected based on the area of specialty and equitable distribution of work among all firms in accordance with §287.055 Consultant’s Competitive Negotiation Act.
Guerra Development Corp (Guerra) has been chosen to provide post-design services for the construction of the NW/SW 80th Avenue and SR 40 intersection. The work will include bid support, attending the pre-construction meeting, reviewing shop drawings, reviewing material specifications and submittals, limited construction oversight, completion certificates, reviewing as-built drawings, and coordination of environmental permits.
Attached for review is a draft of the contract; pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to Guerra for signature and upon return, it will be forwarded to the County Attorney, Clerk, and Chairman for signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; project shall not exceed $109,745. Funding is from VJ738541-563220 (Infrast Surtax Cap Proj Fund).

Recommended action
Motion to approve the recommendation and allow staff to issue contract, and upon approval by Legal, authorize the Chairman to execute contract with Guerra Development Corp.
