DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On behalf of Facilities Management, Procurement advertised a bid for the Judicial Center Parking Garage Pressure Washing and Top Floor Repair. There is currently some superficial damage to the structure caused by water intrusion. The repairs will correct the damage before the structural integrity of the garage is affected and prevent future damage by replacing all the weatherproofing on the top floor of the garage which will greatly reduce the water intrusion.
Attached for review is a draft contract; pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to Western Specialty Contractors of America for signatures and upon return, will be forwarded for the County Attorney’s, Clerk’s, and Chairman’s signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; project cost is $165,638. Up to ten percent (10%) contingency may be added to the purchase order in accordance with the Procurement Manual.

Recommended action
Motion to approve recommendation and allow staff to issue Contract, and upon approval by Legal, authorize the Chairman to execute the same with Western Specialty Contractors of America, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder under 21B-171.
