DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

On October 20, 2020, the Board approved the Selection Committee’s recommendation to award contracts for Architectural Services under 20Q-170 to Architecture Studio, Inc., Partin Architecture Co., Rispoli and Associates Architecture, Inc., Walker Architects, Inc., and Monarch Design Group, LLC (formerly Skinner Vignola McLean, Inc.). All firms have performed in accordance with their contract and Marion County Facilities Management is requesting renewal of these contracts under the first of two (2) available five (5) year renewal options.

 

Attached for review are drafts of the amendments that will be sent to each firm. Upon Board approval, the contracts will be sent to the firms for execution and subsequently forwarded to legal, then the Clerk and Chairman for signature.

 

BUDGET/IMPACT:

None; task orders will be negotiated individually, as assigned. Task orders that exceed the County Administrator's approval threshold will be brought back before the Board as a separate task order with a detailed scope and fee schedule for review and final approval.

Recommended action

Motion to approve recommendation and allow staff to issue contracts, and upon approval by Legal, authorize the Chairman to execute contracts with Architecture Studio, Inc., Partin Architecture Co., Rispoli and Associates Architecture, Inc., LLC, Walker Architects, Inc., and Monarch Design Group, LLC, under 20Q-170.
