DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On behalf of Marion County Municipal Services, Procurement advertised a bid to solicit qualified and experienced contractors for a resurfacing project. The scope of work includes resurfacing approximately 21.39 miles of subdivision roads in Marion Oaks Units nine (9) and eleven (11). The project involves roadway preparation, leveling, removal of high shoulders, temporary stripping, permanent thermoplastic striping and stabilization of all areas disturbed during construction. Municipal Services Director, Chad Wicker, recommends that C. W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. receive the award as the lowest, most responsive bidder. Attached for review is a contract draft. Pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to C. W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. for signatures. Upon return, it will be forwarded to Legal, the Clerk and Chairman for execution.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; expenditure of $2,920,514.00. Up to 10% contingency may be added to the purchase order in accordance with the Procurement Manual. Funding is from HI514541-563220 (Rm Marion Oaks Road Imprv)

Motion to approve the recommendation, allow staff to issue a contract and upon approval by Legal, authorize the Chairman and Clerk to execute the contract with C. W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. under 25B-154.
