DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On behalf of Marion County Growth Services, Procurement advertised an RFQ for a qualified firm to prepare an Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) as mandated by the Florida Statutes Chapter 163. This report will provide long-term guidance for the County to make decisions regarding growth and services over the next twenty (20) years. One submittal was received. JBrown Professional Group, Inc. (JBPro) demonstrated the experience and qualifications necessary to perform the work. With support from Growth Services Director, Chuck Varadin, the negotiations team worked with JBPro to finalize project fees, timeline and scope of work to ensure the departments needs are met.
Attached for review is a draft contract; pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to the vendor for signature and upon return, will be forwarded the County Attorney, Chairman and Clerk for same.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; project cost shall not exceed $185,000. Funding is from line AA320515-531109 (General Fund)
