DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Tourist Development Council (TDC) seeks funding approval for organizations that have festivals, events, or programs which support the TDC’s mission to lead, market, and grow the County’s travel and tourism industry to generate economic development opportunities and prosperity for the entire community. This funding contract is for the Florida Watercolor Society Annual Convention, Tradeshow and Exhibit hosted by the Florida Watercolor Society, Inc. to be held September 25-30, 2023 at the Hilton Ocala. This event was recommended for funding by the TDC at their regularly scheduled meeting on April 25, 2023.
