DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
This is a request for approval of a Resolution by petitioner, Jason Bria on behalf of Baseline Road Ocala, LLC, to vacate portions of Drainage Easement A and Drainage Easement B as shown on the plat of Beltway Business Center Phase 1, recorded in Plat Book Z, Pages 82-83.
The existing drainage easements are being vacated to accommodate the current development of the property. Following the plat vacation, a replacement drainage easement will be recorded over the drainage retention area (DRA) and associated drainage facilities. The replacement easement will preserve the drainage rights necessary for the continued conveyance, discharge, storage, and detention of stormwater associated with SE 68th Street, SE 59th Court, and the drainage areas served by the existing system.
The property owner will remain responsible for the maintenance and operation of the DRA and associated drainage facilities. The plat vacation and replacement easement do not constitute County acceptance of SE 68th Street or SE 59th Court for maintenance and do not create a County maintenance obligation for the drainage facilities.
The Development Review Committee (DRC) considered this request on August 3, 2026, and recommended that the petition be granted.
