DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On August 6, 2025, the Board approved the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Annual Action Plan for Community Services, which includes the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). This Annual Action Plan aligns with the Fiscal Year 2024-28 Five-Year Consolidated Plan.
The Marion County Sexual Assault Center is requesting $100,000 of CDBG-PS grant. The funding will support victims who have experienced trauma of sexual assault. Since taking over from the previous provider, the Center has assisted 142 victims and delivered over 900 critical services within the past year. The program’s primary goal is to reduce the incidence of sexual assault in Marion County while providing comprehensive support to victims to aid in their recovery.
