DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
In accordance with Ordinance 13-12 (attached), the County Administrator makes this recommendation to award funding from the Marion County Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Trust Fund to eligible not-for-profit organizations. The Selection Committee reviewed and rated all proposals received for treatment and/or educational programs.
The amounts awarded will be paid on a reimbursement basis after the agency submits invoices with receipts detailing eligible charges. There is $20,000 available to award in the FY 2026-27 proposed budget.
The following are the recommended award amounts for each agency.
Ocala Consulting and Prevention - $8,000
Marion County Problem Solving Courts - $7,000
Marion County Veterans Helping Veterans, Inc. - $5,000
