DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
At its November 17, 2020 meeting, the Board approved a Purchase Order for $350,000 with Sunstate Meter & Supply (SMS) for Marion County Utilities to purchase water meters and various parts for water meters for its Automatic Meter Reading program to replace aging meters. At this time, Change Order 1 is being presented for $100,000 to encumber additional FY 20/21 budgeted funds for the purchase additional replacement water meters and various parts. If approved today, the change order will be presented for the Chairman's signature after the meeting, and when returned and processed by Procurement, SMS will receive a revised purchase order not to exceed $450,000.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; additional encumbrance of $100,000 is approved in FY 20/21 budget.
