DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Marion County Fire Rescue applied for the Public Emergency Medical Transport (PEMT) Program, which allocates funding from the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) to allocate amounts commensurate to EMS for providing uncompensated care for Medicaid patients. As a result, we received $110,689, which is being tracked in its own revenue line item, AA305342-342611, and a budget amendment is being done to recognize these revenues for this fiscal year.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Increase General Fund appropriation by $110,689.
