DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this Agreement is to provide for cooperation and coordination between the County and SunTran during declared states of emergency and other local emergency events, whereby SunTran will provide available transportation assets and support staff in those limited circumstances where Marion County School Board assets and personnel are either insufficient or are for any reason not available to support all disaster response and recovery missions, including evacuation and re-entry into communities.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
None. Inasmuch as this agreement will not be “activated” unless Marion County is impacted by an emergency event, it is impossible to determine a budget impact. Further, this agreement is for back-up services to those provided by the School Board - thus, it is not expected that there will be a significant budget impact from this agreement.
