DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Office of the County Engineer is requesting to reclassify a part time Temp/Seasonal Stormwater Intern position to a full time Engineer I position. Stormwater has had continued success with an engineering intern over the last several years, with the same intern returning for three (3) seasons. This intern is graduating with an engineering degree in May and is interested in full time employment with the County. While this intern has received on the job training from us over the last several years, projects have benefitted by having this person onboard and we see great advantage to furthering that relationship. In addition, as private development has greatly increased, this individual will be assigned to assist with development review.
