DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

On behalf of Marion County Utilities (MCU), Procurement Services advertised a bid for a firm to manage the removal and disposal of stabilized and unstabilized liquid residuals from the County's wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). The contracted firm will also receive, treat, and dispose of the debris and grease removed from the system, in accordance with regulatory requirements. One (1) firm responded. The bid is based on the estimated quantities anticipated and are subject to change, but shall not exceed MCU’s budgeted figures for each fiscal year without approval from the Board. Environmental Services Director, Jody Kirkman, requests to contract with American Pipe & Tank, Inc (APT) based on the bid shown below, the contractor's favorable past performance under the current contract, and ability to perform all work under this bid.
