DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Marion County Animal Services received a $50,000 grant investment from the newly named Petco Love to support the lifesaving work for animals in Marion County. This generous grant will enhance the shelter and improve the quality of care provided to the community’s pets.
Animal Services achieved the goal of becoming a no-kill agency in 2019; and in 2020, accomplished a 94% live release rate. Since becoming a no-kill organization, needs for resources and space have increased. Animal Services continues to work diligently for the well-being of animals in the community.
