DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
To transfer funds from the Marion County Airport (BQ415542) Machinery & Equipment (564101) $18,535; Rentals & Lease Equipment (544101) $2,390; Repairs/Maintenance - Buildings & Grounds (546101) $1,500; Regular Salaries & Wages (512101) $22,256; FICA Taxes (521101) $1,703; Retirement Contributions (522101) $2,226; Health Insurance (523101) $11,012; Life, AD&D, LTD (523401) $149; and Worker's Compensation (524101) $1,229 to Buildings - CIP (562102) in the combined amount of $61,000. This transfer of funds within the Airport budget (BQ415542) will be combined with existing funds in Buildings - CIP account.
The Airport will not hire one (1) FTE Airport Technician for Fiscal year 2021 with savings in staffing costs being redirected to funding for the T-hangar project. Savings within the Machinery & Equipment line item was for the fuel monitoring system that was purchased in fiscal year 2020. The Airport was also able to find cost savings within the Repairs/Maintenance - Building & Grounds and Rentals & Leases - Equipment.
This transfer will allow the Department to fund the construction of 20 T-Hangars for the Marion County Airport. The T-Hangar project is funded through an FDOT grant which provides 80% funding towards the project with Marion County Airport responsible for providing a 20% match.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Increase Marion County Airport Fund appropriation by $236,342.

Approve attached Budget Amendment Resolution and amend the CIP.
