DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

G. Matthew Brockway, Esq. (Applicant), on behalf of Horse Farms Forever, Inc., submitted a Land Development Code (LDC) Amendment Application proposing changes to LDC Section 4.2.23 - Rural Commercial (RC-1) zoning classification’s intent, permitted uses, development standards, and design standards; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; providing for inclusion in the Land Development Code.

 

The proposed amendments were considered in a Public Hearing by the Land Development Regulation Commission (LDRC) on January 24, 2024, which recommended approval of the amendments with the attached proposed changes.  The applicant and staff do not support the additional changes proposed by the LDRC.

 

The proposed Ordinance and the applicant’s application, as well as staff’s report, are attached.

 

This is the first of two (2) public hearings. The second Public Hearing is scheduled for April 16, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.
