DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Marion County Airport needs to transfer funds into Building - CIP to repair a corporate box hangar roof and the hangar door; Airport Hangar Improvements (MAC202403) project total $200,000. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) awarded Marion County with a Public Transportation Grant Agreement that will contribute 80% of the total price of this project ($160,000). The roof and door of the hangar are well past their useful life and this rehabilitation project will ensure both the physical integrity of the building and that it continues to meet the needs of the tenants. The Marion County Airport budgeted to replace the roof this fiscal year and with this grant, the Airport will repair the box hangar roof and door with less impact to its budget ($40,000). This transfer will cover the current expense for rehabilitation of the corporate box hangar.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Increase Marion County Airport Fund appropriation by $160,000.
