DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On February 16, 2021, the Board approved a CDBG grant funded agreement with Transitions Life Center and Community, Inc. to construct, renovate, and expand a community center for intellectually disabled adults and include functional outdoor space for programs and recreation.
The contractor has experienced permitting delays, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in the need for a term extension of six (6) months. Community Services and TLC request a deadline extension to ensure the work is completed. The current term expiration date is October 30, 2021; the proposed new term deadline is April 30, 2022.
TLC is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide a safe, caring, and enriching community for intellectually disabled adults.

Motion to approve and authorize the Chairman to execute all necessary documents associated with the First Amendment to Marion County Standard Professional Facilities and Improvements Agreement CDBG for TLC, Inc.
